Bashkir Kubyzes

In Bashkortostan, the “kubyz” has long since been a national music instrument that the traditional sounds have been preserved on to this day. It can be found in schools and traditional music concerts, just among enthusiasts. As in the vast majority of other regions, there are no technical traditions for manufacturing the instruments right now – there are craftsmen manufacturing Jew's harps in small quantities, in accordance with their own preferences and abilities.
