Oberton Pro Jaw Harp Studio

Venue for events
We are happy to provide our premises in St. Petersburg, together with informational, technical and organisational support, for events connected with jaw harps: performances, jam sessions, meetings, workshops, lectures, exhibitions and more. The 40 m² room is well suited to intimate concerts—a natural format for the jaw harp as an instrument played among friends—while the technical equipment also makes it possible to stage a complete audiovisual show. For a beginning performer, Oberton Pro can be an ideal first stage: try a debut performance, observe the audience, and practise playing live under bright lights, in stage fog and in front of video cameras.
Multimedia studio
If you have something you want the world to see or hear, or you need a well-produced demo for your media portfolio, music video, feature-length project or jaw harp series, contact us. We can record raw audio, photographs and video, then edit and finish the material as a complete product. The studio offers a broad selection of microphones, sound-reinforcement equipment, digital cinema cameras, stabilisation and motion-control systems, and a lighting rig.
Support for jaw harp projects
Perhaps you want to share your enthusiasm for this unusual instrument, demonstrate a distinctive playing technique or application, or the jaw harp has inspired an artwork or another creative idea. We welcome proposals for projects connected with the instrument's past, present and future.
Prices
Everything offered on this page is free of charge at least when the results of the collaboration will be used non-commercially. We reserve the right to use those results for our own purposes. Other terms can be agreed individually where necessary. Performers holding events may set their own admission price and collect payment or sell tickets in advance. We can also handle this for a ten-percent commission.
