The Khalilov kubyz with a solid, colorful and smooth sound and a large dynamic range with the main tone shifted to the upper register is well controlled by articulation, and the strong steel construction and wide reed allow both a beginner and an experienced jaw harp player to play comfortably. The tip of the instrument is a ringing, fast playing on high overtones.
