Dmitry Glazyrin’s “black” jaw harp became the new instrument of 2011 – only the form unites it with the old one. The material of the reed, which determines the entire sound of the instrument, is now stainless steel. Mechanically, it is slightly softer than the previous version, the tonality is lower. Stability is good, with any strokes on yourself, there are no breakdowns and parasitic inducements. Rapid combinations of two-way strokes are very difficult due to the large reed trigger and the ring of the reed. "Black" has a high sensitivity in the entire range of amplitudes of oscillations - play comfortably with weak touches and strong strokes. jaw harp catches the slightest movement of the muscles of the mouth, and gives heat with intense breathing. The timbre of the jaw harp has become even richer and more colorful, and the abundance of emphasized sounds does not interfere with the conscious change in sound. But musicality - the uniformity of the distribution of overtones - he lacks, like most instruments of the Ural workshop. In addition, there is always a barely audible background, noticeable only to the experienced ear.
