The Munharps of the famous Norwegian master Borgulva Straume are made in accordance with the national traditions of jaw harp making - these are small (but massive), medium / high-frequency instruments for conscious overtone play, with a balanced sound, low return and tuned to a certain note. The reed of the munharpa is hard, which is emphasized not by the smallest gaps - the sensitivity of the instrument is not high; the sound is the same when hitting in both directions; with a certain skill, a quick variable strokes is also possible. Its width, together with the overall strength of the design, allow for inaccurate strokes and a large range of forces during holding, which makes it easier to familiarize yourself with the instrument. The timbre of sound is a single whole, the image of which can be changed to a relatively wide extent by all articulation methods of control and add rhythmic elements with the help of sharp breathing.
