khomus Aysien Nikolaevich Dyachkovsky stands out among the traditional Yakut jaw harps with its appearance, combining the classical form and experimental features, among which are the internal section of the frame arms and the "shelf" for the teeth. The sound of the instrument is primarily balanced. The sounds are kept to a minimum, but exist equally when hitting in both directions; the mechanics are excellent and the khomus behaves the same at any speed. The timbre is moderately saturated, the sensitivity is high, the volume varies freely from the lowest to the highest. Good jaw harp for medium- and high-speed play.
