Viktor Ignatyev is a maker of Yakut khomuses from Boltongo in the Churapchinsky District of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia). Materials published by the Simekh National Center refer to him as a People’s Master of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia). His instruments retain the classic form of the Yakut khomus; the documented examples have a low, rich sound and responsive reeds.
