Vietnamese Jew's Harps

Vietnamese teeth (arc-shaped, not laminar) Jew's harps are not a traditional ware of Vietnam – they could be considered a side product of Tai Ku's manufactory, which expanded the product range to experiments and imitations on the wave of the original options’ success. Each person who hopes to find that same high-quality acoustic level as in the thin dan moi will be greatly disappointed – these Jew's harps could only be called a replica of the instruments. Even just the assembly quality leaves much to be desired – the tongues flop and move out of place; the brazen screws inserted into them break when the knees of the tongues at the bend locations. Often the cases which are often times made of rare and valuable wood species quickly warp and crack.
