Jaw Harp Shubunov "Sula"

Half-cooked jaw harp Frola Shubunov, a master from St. Petersburg, is made for Yakutian motives, but has a more Russian, "bearish" disposition. The sound of the instrument is shifted to the lower registers; a special design of the reed (medium stiffness), a third of which at the root is slightly bent in the longitudinal direction, complicates the nature of the vibrations and gives the voice an animal growl. With special reverence, this design refers to the deep breathing of the player, which can strongly give volume or prolong the sound. And small portions of air - "at the tips of the lips" - you can quite easily isolate the high-frequency components of the timbre.

jaw harp comes complete with the author's oak case. The whole set is very pleasant to hold in your hands, and you can not find a similar instrument in sound.
