A khomus with a loud, rough sound and a soft reed. Its range is weighted towards the low end, but the spectrum remains fairly broad and the middle register is easy to use. The reed is less stable under alternating strokes. As the amplitude decreases, rustling and wavering reed noises become more noticeable, especially on outward strokes. A classic Yakut khomus for relaxed playing at any intensity.
