Triple-Reed Dan Moi
Archived model (?)
|
The most bassish of the thin plate jaw harps, the triple-reed dan mine has a relatively low and deaf primary sound. The sensitivity and accuracy of the manufacture of this model is noticeably lower than other jaw harps of the Vietnamese workshop. The combination of a small mass of the reed and the slope of the working range to the lower frequencies makes the instrument particularly disposed to the "squeezing" of sound by breathing and movements of the larynx. Only for collectors.
