Oleg Kniga
Oleg Kniga is a Ukrainian jaw harp maker from Chernivtsi who has been making drymbas since 2015. While mastering the craft, he studied the work of maker Steven Stupa and eventually developed his own forms and construction methods.
Kniga makes both traditionally shaped forged drymbas and experimental instruments. He works with steel, titanium and non-ferrous metals, combining metalwork with wooden details and natural-stone inlays. His works include removable magnetic weights that alter the tuning of an instrument and electroacoustic drymbas.
