Wenge

Wenge (Milletia laurentii) grows mainly in Zaire. The swamp is whitish. The core is dark brown, with thin frequent veins that give the wood a beautiful look. Very hard and heavy, with a dry density of about 880 kg / m3 (panga wood is slightly lighter - 800 kg / m3). The fibers are straight. The texture is big. Persistent wood.
