"Днестр" Vargan

One of the lowest serially produced jaw harps immediately attracts attention by its size (the length is more than 15 centimeters) and brutal appearance. The stronger is the surprise from its lightness - the tongue is very soft and resistes the finger not only due to elasticity, but simply by its weight. Physical feedback, or vibration practically is absent; only a noiseless, unhurried vibration of air, from which a rarefied, unusual and quite interesting sound slips. The fundamental frequency, like all instruments in the ultra-bass range, is almost not audible, but it is well extended by a microphone without an LF filter. Sensitivity is quite high - playing requires the minimum amount of efforts. Moreover - it requires maximum relaxation and tranquility. Rare, unhurried strokes are more than enough to simply listen to the sound and change it in response to any movement of the articulatory apparatus or inhale / exhale. The jaw harp is not for ordinary usage; specific but very interesting.
