Description
Appearance is not one of the strengths of Nepali murcung and, especially, Oak Leaf. The rough surface, uneven shape gives the impression of a newly excavated ancient artifact. But you don’t need to look at this instrument, you need to play it – for this it is made, and the ratio of price and musical qualities significantly outweighs the “cosmetic” side.
The sound of the Oak Leaf is lower and vibrating than that of the rest of the murchang; the controllability of the same instrument resembles Round munchunga.
