Ukrainian jaw harps (drymbas) of Nikolai Kulagi are made in a mahogany case with a steel reed and come complete with an original wooden case. The quality of treatment of the surface of the instrument and case is very high, it is pleasant to hold in your hands. The base sound is soft and warm, but not rich in components, muffled. jaw harp reacts with restraint to articulation, mainly to a change in the volume of the oral cavity. Breathing is quite difficult to control, most of the air goes into a large gap between the frame arms, where the reed is drowned.
Excellent souvenir jaw harp, but as the main instrument can not be used due to limited capabilities.
