"Ebe-Ayaga" Khomus

A small jaw harp with a stiff reed and a somewhat muted sound. Its timbre can seem clean because the high frequencies are absent: within its fairly narrow range, the overtones are easy to shape without being masked by a dense background. Contact with the finger produces noticeable rustling, and outward strokes add unwanted sounds. This instrument suits strong strokes at any speed and tolerates an uncontrolled grip.
