Alexander Novikov is a temir-khomus maker from Abakan. He was a member of Vladislav Kokov’s workshop, where the work of its members was initially presented under the names of the individual makers.

After the team changed in 2018, most new instruments were no longer attributed to individual makers and began to appear under the collective name of the HiG workshop. The workshop continued to develop one of the design approaches previously pursued by Novikov.
