Mohanlal Morchangas are exemplary instruments from the world of the toughest jaw harps. Despite the fact that it is quite difficult to bend such a reed physically (the most nuclear specimens will require a force of about 1 kg), even with a light touch, the morchang begins to make a sound - although not as loud as that of more sensitive jaw harps. At the same time, the sound of the instrument is cleanest; mechanical sounds are minimized (you can catch a weak, "intracranial", background), the timbre is flat. The geometry of the reed is ideal - it is very convenient to apply any strokes. The master makes them with frames of different material and different shapes, but the reeds are the same everywhere and acoustically the instruments do not differ (or rather, they differ with the same spread in stiffness/height of sound).
