Khomus with a massive, solid construction of classic Yakut forms with a long and hard tongue. The thickness of the frame and the geometry of the tongue cause a feeling of confidence during play - this is a very stable instrument.
The sound is quite simple, but the design allows you to disperse the jaw harp with more power. It responds best to confident diaphragmatic breathing and articulation, but thanks to muffled high-frequency components, he does not pay attention to trifles. When you strike inwards, the timbre is noticeably clearer than outwards.
In general, it's a modest instrument with not the brightest and loudest sound (especially with a restrained game), not demanding of the performer (the design forgives many inaccuracies) and allowing you to play dynamically and colorfully using one-sided, strong strokes.
