8^th Congress-Festival of the International Jew's Harp Society

- the World's largest gathering of international jews-harp players.

For three days Ancient Trance Festival will host jews-harp players from around the world, performing some of the most spectacular music likely to be seen in one place. Virtuoso will dazzle with their extraordinary ability to produce so many ways the instrument can be played – ancient to contemporary, spiritual to experimental. The styles are so different you may wonder that it is the same instrument.

In addition, experts on music-therapy and shamanism, workshops for beginners and professionals, makers and sellers, exhibitions and talks, sessions and improvisations, all will be there to entertain and participate. There is nothing like this happening anywhere in the world...

DAS KONZERT HIGHLIGHT MIT MAULTROMMELSTARS AUS SIBIRIEN!
Die Maultrommel hat nicht nur im Alpenraum Mitteleuropas sondern auch im gesamten eurasischen Raum eine jahrtausendealte Tradition. Der „Khomus“ ist neben der Rahmentrommel das Hauptinstrument des sibirischen Schamanismus und das Nationalinstrument Sacha-Jakutiens.

SPITZEN JAKUTISCHER VOLKSMUSIK TREFFEN ÖSTERREICHISCHE MAULTROMMLER!
Im Anschluss an den internationalen Maultrommelkongress in Taucha bei Leipzig begleiten die österreichischen Maultrommler Bernhard Mikuskovics und Bernhard Hanreich die jakutische Delegation von KhomusvirtuosInnen und Khomusschmieden durch Österreich. Mit dabei: Die Altmeister Ivan Alexeev & Spiridon Shishigin, der Khomusvirtuose Kim Borisov, die Khomusvirtuosin Yuliana Krivoshapkina, Albina Degtyareva (Khomusvirtuosin und Leiterin der legendären Ayarkhaan) und die beiden Jungvirtuosen Vova Dormidontov und Alina Nikolaeva.

Auch ein Kinder-/Jugendlichen-Ensemble wird zu hören sein.
Im Rahmen des Konzerts bieten jakutische Maultrommelschmiede ihre Maultrommeln zum Verkauf.
